Rope-making machine consisting of a birch base to which is secured a birch block, slightly tapered in length and width. A channel has been cut into the top of this block that houses a forged hook, shaft with collar, and an L-shaped handle held in the channel by two shaped ash straps screwed to the block top. Wood parts are painted red.
