Description

Screw box for 2" diameter screw with a beech cap block, birch body, forged steel bruzz and threaded lead exit hole liner. Bruzz held in place by an iron bolt with square nut, an iron wedge and the cap block. Cap block secured to screw box by four iron nuts with square bolts. Body was turned between centers to create handles on either end. Thread guide is exit hole probably pewter. Screw box is asymmetrical; hole for blank to be threaded is off-center in body and handles are different lengths.
