Pine bench with ogee cut-outs forming feet on ends, diagonal braces at each end on opposing sides; beaded edge on top. A cherry block (1 1/4" x 5 7/8" x 20 7/8) is screwed to bench top. Through the center 3 3/4" x 5 3/4" of this block are 40 forged iron tapered four-sided spike-like pins which have been carefully bent inwards from the sides. Appears to have been painted red originally.
