Description
T-handled shell auger, 2" diameter, with a forged iron bit and a turned (red?) oak T-handle. The auger is a shell type, has a 6" half cylinder tapering to an octagonal shaft which becomes square in cross-section just below flattened tang which is wedged into a rectangular mortise in the handle along with a piece of leather for a friction fit.
