Round carrier with dark blue ribbon attached, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
Round box with steam-bent birch band and pine bottom. Joint in band a simple scarf joint held by numerour copper tacks. Bottom held in place by wire nails. A steam-bent carved ash fixed handle is attached to the inside with two larger nails on each side which are clinched inside. Blue ribbon tied through single hole. One box band. Three other holes in line across bottom from some sort of fitting now gone.
