Hiram Wheeler Patent moving spindle spinning wheel of pine and mixed hardwoods for spinning wool. Since the spindle moves to and fro, the spinner can remain seated rather than walking away to spin and walking back to wind the resultant yarn as on a great or walking wheel. Most parts were painted red.
