Description

A thin copper stencil screwed to a wooden frame. The frame is mortise and tenon jointed. The frame has four crossbars which divides the text into five sections, to allow for different paint colors. The stencil reads: SHAKER / SARSAPARILLA / FOR / SKIN AND BLOOD / DISEASES. / EAST CANTERBURY, N. H. "Shaker" and "Sarsaparilla" are outlined in black paint, while the other sections exhibit layers of yellow, black, white, and red paint.
