Description

Silk, plain weave, dense. All four sides are edged with a series of six border stripes, raised by using a thicker thread. A 1/8" rolled hem on all four sides is handstitched using a blind stitch. Typical neckerchief, natural off-white silk. Possibly woven by the Kentucky Shakers. Common border stripe motif. Border stripe is applied on two sides, hemmed and raw cut edges hand overcast to secure.
