Description

Pine five-step stepladder. The stepladder has two pieces which unfold to stabilize it. The brace has a rectangular foot with a board set perpendicular to the base in the center. The board is uniform the majority of the way up until just above the top step where it tapers drastically. The board continues for another 18 9/16" above the top step. The top step is 20" x 6", nailed to two braces, which are nailed into the top of the stepladder's sides. The sides are angled outward. The steps are joined to the sides at approximately 9 1/2" intervals. Nailed to the back of the second and third steps from the top is a board with a convex cut-out on the bottom. Another piece of wood is hinged to the third step; when folded down this board hooks to the brace to secure the step and brace together, further stabilizing the stepladder when opened.
