Description
Three-step stool of pine. 7/16" thick treads supported in front by rails through mortised into ends to which the tread fronts are nailed (cut iron nails). The front bottom edge of each rail is beaded. The ends have a circular cut-out at the bottom creating two feet and a high arched opening. Two rails are through mortised in the backs the the ends; one just under the top stop, the other a bit below the level of the bottom step. The top rail has the bottom m edge beaded as in front, the lower rail has beads at both top and bottom edges. Steps have a red faux-grained finish.
