Saw, Bow
Bow saw, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
An unusual bow saw with a frame of ash, a top bar of sheet metal riveted into slots in the tops of the vertical frame sides and by which it is fixed, and a thick, narrow, double-toothed saw blade. The blade ends are secured in forged iron fixtures which penetrate the frame sides and are held by nuts, square on one side and a wing nut on the other. By tightening the wing nut, the blade is tensioned.
