Description
A curious frame saw rather like a buck saw but without a handle extension on one cheek. Hand-wrought iron blade is fixed, one cheek and threaded tensioning rod are of hickory, other cheek and stretcher are of maple as is turned tensioning nut on threaded rod. Blade held in slots in cheek bottoms by wrought nails. Blade is 5/8" x 18" with about 6 tpi, no set.
