Description
Iron draft regulator with a sheet metal semi-circular draft hole cover and a wrought iron handle/support. The handle/support is forged from rectangular bar stock that is split; the upper portion curves upward and outward terminating in a tang which is inserted through a turned maple knob held on the inside by an iron washer and on the outside by a brass burr with the tang and peened over it, the lower portion of the split bar is forged to a flat, leaf shape which is bent downward, then upward at end. This portion supports the regulator in a nearly vertical plane.
