Straw "chip" press, Church Family, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
Wooden straw press. Wooden platform with rectangular channel inside each long side. On one side of press there is a board set at an upward angle to the center roller. Large wooden roller atop a smaller metal roller underneath, held in place by a brace on either side. Both rollers are propelled by the crank arm. Crank has an s-curved metal arm with a turned wooden handle. Remnants of orange paint.
