Description

Broom vise. Vise sits at an angle at end of arm. Arm is secured to one jaw. Jaws are straight edges with a notched, curved back end. Through jaws is a screw with a cylindrical head with domed top and a sliding handle through head. At end of jaws there is a set of two slides secured together by a dowel; slides protrude one side and are flush with the opposite exterior side. Vise is set into a cut-out in a table. Two cut-outs in line with the vise arm; one oval, one rectangular. Table legs are tenon-jointed to top, are rectangular in cross-section, and have a slight taper. Outside legs, on short ends, is a wood slat for support. Tabletop comprises two boards, each with two circular holes; holes in center set wider than the two near end. Stained dark brown.
