Dress

Description

Commercially purchased cotton cloth dress (a) printed with a leaf design. Blue and white. Machine-sewn dress with an open front and no closures. Small hole at neck. No visible evidence of closure at waist. Matching bertha (b) with four hook and eye closures and five decorative glass "faux" buttons. Trimmed with lace at neck. A piece of cotton twilled tape is pinned with small brass safety pin to front of bertha. This strip was used to pin bertha in place. Safety pin was removed and a few conservative stitches.
