Drop-leaf table of cherry and birch, natural finish, Hancock, MA
1800-1825
Description
Small drop-leaf table with a cherry top and two leaves, turned birch legs and birch aprons. Hinges for leaves are iron or steel. Bottom outside arrises of aprons have a molded thumb bead. Aprons secured to legs with pinned mortise and tenon joints. Top held to undercarriage with wood screws in pocket holes. Probably natural finish with patina.
