Iron
Clothing iron, North Family, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
An iron of cast iron. The long sides of the iron are predominantly flat, but taper toward the front forming a nose. The iron's backside is flat. The iron's top has an ogee-waterfall edge. There are two raised squares: one at the front and back of the top. Set in the center of these squares are the arms of the handle. The arms continue upward for 3/4" before turning outward and curving back in. The center of the handle is twisted, four times, designating the grip.
