Description
Octagonal box with lid, made of woven poplar and (cotton, linen?) thread cloth, wooden base covered with blue paper on bottom and light blue satin padded lining on interior of box and lid. Satin lining comes out over the outside edges of box top and lid. Bottom edge of box is edged with white kid leather, similar trim applied to top edge of lid. Lid is attached to box with two ribbon ties, one is broken. Attached to interior with ribbon ties are a beeswax, "strawberry" emery made of same fabric lining material, and a woven poplar needlecase with three pieces of ivory felt inside. There is also a square fabric pincushion with two pins in it attached to the side of the box inside. Lid closes with elastic piece which attaches to white round button on front of box.
