Description
Oval box form. Solid pine block cut and sanded to elliptical shape, then cut cross-wise in half and rectangular iron plates with holes in each four corners attached to cut ends of block. Nut and bolts are installed in these holes adjusted to allow about 1/8" of movement of the two mold halves. Brass bushings which engage the iron cylinders on vise 1961.12886.1 are inserted vertically through end mold half and brass plates are set into one side of the form, one in each half, to serve as anvils for clinch tacking the swallowtails.
