Oval box form used by Brother William Perkins, Mount Lebanon, NY
1920s
Description
Birch veneer swallowtail template (three tails) for a 9" oval box nailed to a white pine backer board. A sheet metal three-tail template is sandwiched between the backer and the veneer at opposite end but does not extend beyond veneer and thus is non functional. A white pine fence is nailed to the backer board. No tack hole locations.
Notes
Used to lay out swallowtail shapes on oval box bands.
