Iron stove shovel with a cast shovel and a forged cylindrical handle welded to shovel at back. Toward top, a hollow bulge has been wrapped around a form to form a handle bulge. The top end of the hollow bulge has an iron cylinder inserted into opening and riveted in place. This insert stays down in diameter for an inch or so and then terminates with a ball finial.
