Dinner plate inscribed to "Sister Gillespie", Sabbathday Lake, ME
ca. 1881
Description
Cream-colored porcelain plate with gold leaf around the outside edge. The well of the plate has floral decoration, with curvy, fluid green leaves and brown leaves interwoven. At the base of the stem there are fine pink and gray vegetation which flows upward surrounding the brown and green leaves. The plate's lip is 1 7/16" wide. The plate has a short base with a handwritten inscription.
