Small half-round file of steel, tapered to point, edges and half-round side ground nearly smooth with a flat near tip on round side, flat side still has visible teeth but they are so worn (or ground?) and filled that the surface is nearly smooth. Set into a between-centers turned maple handle with a brass ferrule.
