Description

Soldering iron with copper head in line with shaft and handle. Head secured by means of a hole through head and channels from through hole to end forged in the head. An iron rod was forged and bent to go through hole with the legs pounded into the channels and the free end hammer welded to the other leg. The other end of the round shaft is set into a turned maple handle with a brass ferrule.
