Iron, Soldering
Soldering iron, Canterbury, NH
Description
Soldering iron with wedge shaped copper head at a right angle to the head shaft. The back of the head has a stud (forged, cast?) which is inserted through an eye in the handle/shaft. This stud is peened over the eye to fix the head in the eye such that it can swivel. The wrought iron shaft is round and tapers to the other end, terminating in a rose-head-like detail. The shaft is bent back on itself to form a handle.
