Pitcher
Ironstone pitcher with scalloped rim, Canterbury, NH
1851-1890
Description
Pale blue, almost white, ironstone pitcher. The pitcher is shaped wide at the bottom and tapers toward the top before widening at the opening. The pitcher has seven ridges, which flow into the scalloped edge of the lip. Just below the back lip the handle is attached. The handle, where it attaches to the body of the pitcher is molded to look like leaves and wheat and flows seamlessly into the decoration of the pitcher. The base of the pitcher is a 1/2" high.
