Description

Porcelain pitcher with cobalt transfer-printed design. The face of each side has a nature scene enclosed in an oval border of alternating groups of curved lines. This border is repeated along the handle and on the interior and exterior edges of the mouth. Hanging from the mouth's exterior border are two baskets with two large floral branches. Alternating with these hanging baskets are small bouquets tied with a ribbon. Bisecting these bouquets are the pitcher's seams. The pitcher has a wide spout and an integral handle extending from the back of the mouth. The handle has a band of molded ovals at its apex and reattaches to the most bulbous portion of the pitcher.
