Pitcher

Description

A white porcelain pitcher with blue/gray designs and a scalloped mouth. The body of the pitcher has a bulbous body which has a molded leaf decoration, which curves inward at the neck and points down toward the center face, emphasizing the shape of the pitcher. The integral handle stems from the back of the mouth, curves upward, with a molded flower at its apex, then curves toward the body and joins the pitcher at its most bulbous in a leaf form. The exterior edge of the mouth is decorated in the "The Valencia Lace" pattern. The pattern consists of a blue/gray band 5/16" high. The band comprises a repeated design of two tall palm leaves with two Christian crosses in between them and what looks to be a Cross Bottony above them. This design is enclosed in a rounded arch with a white dot outside the top corners of the arches. Above this border is a repeating pattern of three small circles in a triangular formation. Below the band has a intricate design with alternating dandelions and Cross Bottony. At the center of each face this design is repeated in a circular formation, without the colored band, and a second time, inside, but without the crosses.
