Description

Wood block cut in the form of a shoe. The last has a round toe. Along the edge of the last, from the toe to the waist, are two pieces of leather attached, one on each side. The height of the last increases toward the instep, then plateaus at the top in an elongated oval shape. There is no through-hole below the top of the last. From the top, the heel curve extends to the seat. The seat sides are curved to form the waist before growing to the widest point at the last joints then tapering to form the toe. Attached to the seat at the heel is a small half-oval lift 5/16" high. This piece is attached with 17 wooden pegs along the outside and four in the middle in a "T" pattern.
