Description

Wood block cut in the form of a shoe. The last has a round toe. Just after the toe the sides of the last are discolored where there were oblong pieces of leather attached. The height of the last increases toward the instep and plateaus where there is an inscription. Below the top there is a through-hole 5/16" in diameter filled with a plaster-like substance. The sides of the heel have five small wooden pegs in an arc and two more along the bottom of the heel. The heel curve extends from the top 2 7/8" to the seat. The sides are curved to form the waist and widens to the joint before tapering toward the toe.
