Description

Oval carrier. Steam-bent maple box (a) and lid (b) rims. Three swallow-tails on box rim and one on lid, secured with copper tacks. Headers secured with tacks. Birch top and white pine bottom. Swing handle pivots on copper trunk rivets peened over copper burrs on inside. Handle spaced out from carrier wall to provide clearance for lid with additional copper burrs. Heavily varnished.
