From the similarity between this photograph and 1960.1207.27, it is likely that it was taken on the return trip from Watervliet to Sabbathday Lake by way of what is now the Mohawk Trail (Route 2). The hairpin turn is near Clarksburg, MA. The photograph is from an album created by Elder Delmer Wilson titled, "Views by the Way from Sabbathday Lake to Alfred, Harvard, Hancock and Watervliet, Oct. 6-16, 1915."
