Commercially made coffee mill, North Family, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
A coffee mill secured on one side to a wooden board. The lidded funnel of the grinder is black oxidized tin-plated sheet metal with an oval brass pendant affixed. The funnel has a three-dimensional triangular form. The sheet metal is bent out and secured to the wood board with three nails on each side. The grinder has a stout conical form. At its center is an S-curved handle with a turned wooden knob. The bottom of the grinder has an opening to allow the coffee grounds to escape. The attached board has a rectangular cut-out at this point as well. To the right of the grinder are three through-holes. On the reverse, the board has three metal fasteners. Two screws with square washers and a circular one in between them.
