Basket made of chestnut-colored black ash splint. Rectangular base and oval, split rim with crossed lashing. Half-round rim on interior and exterior. Uprights range in width from 5/8" - 7/8" wide, and weavers are 1/8" in width. The basket is tightly woven. The double grip "ear" handles are attached on the exterior on each end.
