Description

Sister Belle Whitney (1848-left 1921) standing at a butter worker in the North Family creamery. The creamery was located in the cellar of the Second Dwelling House -- west end. The machinery - Davis Swing Churn, pictured against the wall and a cream separator (not pictured) were operated by a small water motor supplied by water from the the family's fire reservoir.
