Circular piece of bird's-eye maple about 4 1/2" dia. and about 1/2" thick. Flat on top with raised turn piece about 1 1/4" in dia. Set in 1/2" are seven metal nails about 1 1/2" high that spools were slipped over. Metal eye in the center 2 3/8" high used to pick up holder. Top light brown stain, underside yellow stain.
