This distant view of the Alfred Shakers' Church Family on Shaker Hill was published by "M. A. Walker, Shaker Village, Alfred, Me." Mary Ann Walker was the first or second eldress or the family trustee between 1903 and 1927. Postcard views of the village were published under her authority.
