This image was made from a popular vantage point high on the mountain south of the Shaker Village. In the view the Second, Center, Church, and North Families are visible. In the foreground the South Family Chair Factory and Chair Factory Pond dominate the view. The card was sent from George to Mrs. L. F. Farley in Dalton, MA, and is postmarked Mount Lebanon, NY, ?? 16, 1909. The text on the card reads: "Dear Sister, I put some pictures taken and the proofs are fine. Will send one as soon as I get them. George."
