Description

Rectangular base to softer rectangular rim. Black ash splint, lightly-colored; uprights 3/8"-1/2" w x 1/4" w weavers. Split rim, single lashing; Bonnet-shaped handle, double-notched that comes down on outside. Interior: lightly-colored tan leather that is tied on to basket at top and bottom with brown string.

Notes

Initials on bottom of basket may belong to Eldress Dorothy A. Durgin, credited with popularizing the "Dorothy" cloak.
