Description

It appears that the caravan of visitors from Maine stopped at the top of the hairpin turn to take in the view. It is likely that it was taken on the return trip from Watervliet to Sabbathday Lake by way of what is now the Mohawk Trail (Route 2). The hairpin turn is near Clarksburg, MA. The photograph is from an album created by Elder Delmer Wilson titled, "Views by the Way from Sabbathday Lake to Alfred, Harvard, Hancock and Watervliet, Oct. 6-16, 1915."
