Description

This photograph is inscribed on the back, "Dining Room, 1926" with the initials, "W. P." It is interesting to note that the chairs on the sisters end of the room -- the right side of the photograph -- are traditional Shaker-made two-slat dining chairs, while those on the brothers' end -- the left side of the photograph -- are commercially made high-backed chairs. At the far end of the room are four tripod Shaker stands being used as plant stands. The bell rope is held out of the way by being hooked to the peg rail.
