Four-gallon stoneware jug used in the medicine department, Center Family, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
Four-gallon stoneware jug with a salt glaze. The outside of the jug is a glossy tan, and the inside is coated with a dark brown Albany slip. The jug features a cobalt slip-trailed floral motif. What appear to be faint throwing lines run up the jug to the base of the handle. The handle is attached to a thick lip.
