Steam-bent maple box (a) and lid (b) rims. Four swallow-tails on the box, and one on the lid, all secured by copper tacks. Headers are held by copper points. The exterior of the box is a reddish-brown, most likely a stain rather than paint. The box approximates a #2 box in an 11-box series.
