Four-gallon stoneware jug used in the medicine department, Center Family, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
Four-gallon stoneware jug with a salt glaze. The outside of the jug is a glossy tan, and the inside is coated with a dark brown Albany slip. The jug features a faded cobalt slip-trailed flower motif. The body features some slip stains. What appear to be throwing lines run-up the jug to the handle.
