Basket

Description

Basket (a) with lid (b) of black ash splint. Basket has square base and circular rim. Uprights 1" wide, weavers 1 1/4" wide. Uprights have a spiral design about 7/8" in diameter stamped with dark maroon on some of them. Split flat rim 1/4" wide with single lashing. Lid has double grip "ear" handles of splint, about 2 7/8" down from the rim, on two sides. Stacked, split upright in center that extends outwards for entire lid top.
