Description

Wood, with handle, wire screen on bottom. Inside round piece of wood 1/2" thick with 5 7/8" diameter. Hole in bottom covered by mesh. On each side upright strip of wood 11 1/2" high by 1 1/2" wide. Wooden handle approximately 1 1/4" diameter at center, attached by wood pegs. Bent bands - maple, bottom insert - white pine, handle uprights - black ash, handle and pegs - chestnut.

Notes

According to the accession card, the sieve was found in the Great Stone Barn at the North Family.
