Temple, Church Family, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
Temple of adjustable width consisting of a T-shaped half and a U-shaped half, both of cherry. The vertical part of the T slides into the space between the two sides of the U. A series of holes through the shaft of the T and three holes near the end of the U allow width adjustment. Once the width is selected, a rectangular headed bolt is inserted through the device and secured with a nut (no longer extant). Both ends are sheathed in tin-plated sheet metal having 13 points exposed through the sheet metal (one point broken off from sheet metal or U-shaped part).
