Device consisting of a between-centers turned hickory collar with a 1 1/32" diameter hole drilled through the center and a shoulder with a 1 1/2" diameter spigot protruding 5/8" from the shoulder. A tapped 3/8" diameter hole is drilled through the collar into the center hole into which is threaded a hickory thumb screw. Traces of hide glue on shoulder and spigot indicate it was once fastened to some other component.
