Collection of essays by Calvin G. Reed, et al., circa 1850-1885. Religious and moral essays copied into a Mount Lebanon Church, 2nd Order account book. Those copied from 1850-1860 are in the hand of Calvin G. Reed (?) and are followed by essays in various hands, relating to education and schools, the last dated 1885. Pages 1-3 contain an account of the horseradish business (1835-1837) operated by Philemon Stewart. Accounts are in Stewarts’ handwriting. See also "Reflections and Observations by Elder Giles B.
